You don't have to go to France in order to go to Paris. You can head over to Paris, Texas, which has embraced its connection to the more-famous Paris in France and has some great attractions and things for you to do if you decide to head over for a visit.

Thing #1: Visit the Eiffel Tower

No visit to Paris is complete without a visit to the Eiffel Tower. Paris, Texas has its own version of the Eiffel Tower. It is not as big as the one in Paris, but it is still a sight to see. The replica in Texas stands above nearby buildings and trees.

Thing #2: Paris Town Square

Next, you should head over to the town square. The Paris town square is not just a big shopping center full of box stores. Instead, the Paris town square is filled with old historic buildings that make it feel like you are stepping back in time to the 1800s or early 1900s.

You can see old architecture and some historic buildings in Paris Town Square. You can also see some cool fountains and statues around the town. It is evident as you walk through Paris Town Square that the city has long had pride in its status as a sister-city to Paris, France.

Thing #3: Red River Valley Veterans Memorial

Third, you need to stop by the Red River Valley Veterans Memorial. It is a large memorial that celebrates all the veterans from the local area who served in the military or who are on active duty. There are lots of special granite pavers, benches, trees, and monuments throughout the area.

Thing #4: Get Some Special Souvenirs

Finally, you are going to want to get some special souvenirs as well. When you visit Paris, you are going to want to make sure you have something special to remember your visit with. You can get some really fun t-shirts, such as ones with "I Visited Paris" on the front, with "Texas" on the back. Get some T-shirts for yourself and for your friends as souvenirs.
